Banca Sella Holding and Banca Sella: update on rating agencies
Press release
Banca Sella Holding and Banca Sella announce that they have exercised their right to withdraw from their contract with Moody’s Investors Service, effective today, as part of a process to optimize the number of credit rating agencies assigned to evaluate their creditworthiness, in line with the practice adopted by Italian banks of similar size.
Both entities will continue to be rated by two leading international rating agencies: S&P Global Ratings and Morningstar DBRS.
At the date of termination, Moody’s assigned Banca Sella Holding a Ba1/Stable issuer rating and Baa1/P-2/Stable deposit ratings, while Banca Sella was assigned Baa1/P-2/Stable deposit ratings. The ratings had remained unchanged since 25 November 2025, when they were upgraded by one notch.
