Banca Sella receives Bank of Italy authorization to acquire Hype

The Bank of Italy has authorized the transaction announced on November 3, concerning Banca Sella’s acquisition of the 50% stake in Hype currently held by illimity Bank (Banca Ifis Group), as well as the remaining 50% stake held by the parent company Banca Sella Holding. Completion of the transaction is scheduled for February 6, 2026.
The subsequent merger by incorporation of Hype into Banca Sella is expected to be completed by the end of March 2026, subject to approval by the respective shareholders’ meetings.
This initiative is part of the Group's strategic growth plan, and it is aimed at strengthening Banca Sella's competitive positioning, leveraging a business model focused on personal relationships and the development of digital initiatives.
